Take out from this place was a complete ripoff and disaster. The “seafood combo” was microscopic in size and the portion less than a kids-meal appetizer. Fried shrimp was tough and burnt. Garlic clams were microscopic and again, tiney portion. Of the nine “dinners” which we ordered for takeout only the King crab legs were good.
I visit LBI each year for a long vacation and during my vacation my family and I try to have one very special night where we buy lobster, crab, clams, etc., as a takeout and have our shellfish feast. We ordered this year from Lobster claw and we were horribly disappointed. We ordered eight individual dinners, ranging from a seafood medley, king crab legs, lobster, and fried shrimp. The order was well over two hundred dollars and was supposed to come with fries and coleslaw. What they gave us along with our dinners was one takeout package of fries, not even half full and one pint of coleslaw. The seafood medley contained so very little seafood that it wasn’t even enough for an appetizer. The fried shrimp was over fried so badly that a few of the shrimp were burned. The clams were over cooked as well. We’ve gone elsewhere in the past and had excellent meals. Pinky’s is a good place and if we do this again, we’ll drive a little further and go there. Sorry about this lobster claw, but both thumbs down.
I had lunch here today kinda late and had the place to myself. Good lobster salad and corn on the cob cooked perfectly. They were out of some stuff and the iced tea is garbage, but it wasn’t too bad of a meal. Atmosphere is family casual.
