The year round eatery, a rarity on LBI, is a perennial favorite. A complete and superior menu, plus a great sushi bar, brings people back over and over again. Weekend light entertainment and working fireplaces in each dining room establish the seaside ambiance. Try the steaks, seafood and the house specialty lobster bisque. Everything is good. Perhaps this is the most consistent on LBI, where it is smart to beware of most restaurants in start up or shut down mode! Making a reservation highly recommended. Parking is OK except for peak weekends.
The sushi here is to die for! Nowhere else on the island does sushi like the Engleside…definitely get the crab roll with the love potion! Yum!
I spend Thanksgiving here every year. Food is great, choices are plentiful, and service is attentive without feeling rushed.
During my stay at the Engleside motel I had dinner at the Leeward Room. This was my second time eating here and must delineate my compliments to the chef. I ordered the Fra Diablo and must say it was the best I have ever eaten. I will be returning again next year as a guest and a dining customer in this ultra fine restaurant. See you in 2013!!
