Are you a fan of Little House on the Prairie? Do you enjoy a great breakfast buffet? If you answered yes… then The Bayberry Inn is the place for you. Every Sunday they have an amazing breakfast buffet. You name it, they have it. Breakfast is one of our favorite pastimes here at LBIF… but what is the only thing that can make breakfast better? You guessed it. Booze.
Starting on Mother’s Day… the Bayberry offers it’s bubble-licious champagne brunch. At $20 per person, we’d advise you to give it a try. There is quite a spread, from deviled eggs, to poached salmon, to deviled eggs, to chicken francese, to fresh fruit, to deviled eggs. Okay, so we here at LBIF like the deviled eggs. You won’t be able to stop eating them.
After Mother’s Day, the Sunday champagne brunch will continue it’s saga during the summer months. Ride your bikes there and kick off a summer Sunday fun-day.
Bayberry’s ambiance is quite charming. The “log cabin” style interior and lack of open windows give you a sense of being away from the shore. It has a dimly-lit, warm colonial feel. It is almost as if someone will be churning butter or shoe-cobbling around every corner. The wait staff adds to the experience by sometimes dressing in aprons, bonnets, knickers and suspenders from the days of Ma & Pa Ingalls. For those of you two young for that TV reference… ask your Ma or Pa.

Did we mention that the champagne just keeps coming to your table?

Had the pleasure of dining at the Bayberry Inn a couple of weeks ago and was I pleasantly surprised. The original owners are back and in full force. The decor was wonderful. Felt like I was in a winter wonderland. The food and service were, again, a pleasant surprise. From the way we were greeted at the door right down to dessert we had a blast. Someone told me the old Bayberry was back and I agree. Welcome back Bayberry!!! We will be back soon and often.

The food was great. Our waiter Tony did a fine job with everything and the pianist, (George Abbot) made our evening complete and totally enjoyable. It was like getting a piano concert with our meal. This guy never stops playing and he knew every song from the 1930s to music of today. A shame were from out of town or we would be there every night to hear him. It was truly a dining experience to remember.
